If you like twin fins and you like surfing top to bottom, this is the board for you. A fairly curvy entry rocker for a fish based design (4 1/4" nr+), combined with a slightly thicker forward foil (volume under the chest) and a drawn in pointy nose makes for a great combo for critical surfing without sacrificing paddle power. Adding to the Fish Taco's forgiving nature are the rails which are on the fuller side at the front running to a semi tucked hard edge at the tail which offers sensitivity and the ability to push hard through turns. The bottom shape has a single concave running into a light double with a vee behind the fins and off the tail, all of this makes for a precise 2 fin wave slaying machine.
'A HIGH PERFORMANCE TWIN FIN BASED DESIGN'
Who's the fish taco for? - It's more fishy than the Grim Ripper but no where near as fishy as the Sunfish, so fits nicely in the middle in terms of those, as for waves, anything waist high too a little over head and it likes too be surfed top too bottom and hard off the tail.
SIZING:
Generally i recommend riding the fish taco a similar length than you are
tall or just a little shorter 1-2", despite having a name like 'fish taco'
it really is a more alternate performance shape
AS for fins: smaller based keel templates are optimum, although upright twins are a worthy contender in smaller conditions, the tail on the fish taco isn't super wide so it won't spin out with uprights like more trad fish will.
