Woody got a quiver for Ireland

A brace of freshly finished and sharpened blades for my main man Woodstock, ahead of his departure to the Emerald Isle. (he's been and come back by now)..

To set the scene, West Penwith, true to form, delivered a thoroughly sodden February day: relentless rain from start to finish. Though, mercifully, the wind granted us a rare moment of calm.

I was personally sanding Woody's boards one by one as he applied logos, one after another as they left one dusty bay and into another. All the while, the minutes pressed steadily onward toward the ferry’s departure, a vessel which much like the tide itself, waits for no man... And yet, by some small miracle, mission complete. With precisely nine and a half minutes to spare, we even managed to take a few photographs on my Yashica T3 before Woody very nearly reversed over his brand-new quiver, an impressively chaotic start to the trip, but a start none the less.

Something new i've been working hard at for release later this year... A performance twin+trailler with lots of concave and some secret sauce hidden in it.. pivots like a shortboard but planes like a fish.. Made one for Candice recently to take to Indo and also Matt Travis has one on order, so a bit more feedback to work thru and understand, and some tweaks to be done but alas a very exciting new whip..

Glassed 4 / 4(s) - and set up as a twin + trailer...

6'0 • 18 7/8 • 2 5/8 - 31.L OG

This is a replica of his favoruite OG (which he broke a week before leaving, so we built this one together in about 24 hours before he left) - So for his stubby OG  which is kinda a regular OG just a little wider - Woody seems to favour a little more curve up front for his every day boards (his usual OG is 6'2 but for better waves), so this is more of an every day board for whatever comes his way.. its also a little thicker in the center but with a slightly more tapered rail for sensitivity..

Glassed 4 / 4+4(s) set up as a thruster.

7’6 • 19 1/2 • 2 3/4 - 43.6L CHUBLORDE

My go to template for heavy water.. Developed and refined in some of the best heavy waters, this is the first 7'6 i've made for woody himself (he's borrowed a few from the factory before, but never ordered one for himself) so i've not changed it massively from what i normally run, Vee bottom, medium rails, steady rockers.. Consistency is key.

Glassed solid with 6+4 bottom / 6 + 6 deck with a 5 fin set up.

8’6 • 19 7/8 • 3 1/4 - 59.2L CHUBLORDE

A bigger version of the 7'6 but for slightly more deep water waves in mind.. will it get used? no pressure, but if the option is there, the board is ready.. I like the swallow tails for deeper water waves, it holds a slightly straighter outline in the back end which i feel maintains speed well but still holds a tight line.. this one i gave woody less input on and has a little more secret sauce in..

Glassed 6+6 / 6+6 also 5 fin set up

Also big ups FCS, his new fin sponsor for the new fin plugs & Fins...

Hopefully some ride reports coming our way soon.
