VEE BOTTOM MIDDY - VBM
AS THE NAME SUGGESTS A VEE BOTTOM, MEDIUM RAILS, AND FLAT. SOME WOULD SAY A LOGGERS SHORTBOARD, OTHERS A SHORTBOARDERS LONGBOARD - ALL I KNOW IS I RATE THIS AS MY BEST ALL ROUNDER MID SIZE BOARD, IF I WAS TOO HAVE A 1 BOARD QUIVER TO BE STUCK ON A DESERT ISLAND WITH, THIS WOULD BE THE ONE... AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF TAIL SHAPES AND FIN CONFIGURATIONS AVAILABLE FROM 6’4 - 9'6

- A wider nose template, wide point slightly forward and with a pulled in tail provides a contrast between great trim and glide for novice surfers looking for something fun too ride, the flatness and pulled in tail also make for a great tube rider for higher level surfers looking for something a little different, so theres something for everyone in the VBM, this versatility keeps it as a stable model within the BOS range.

Fin Wise: The VBM can be ridden in a bunch of different fin configurations, 90% of the time i make them as 2+1 set up, to be ridden as a single fin or a 2+1..

- As a single fin i would strongly recommend starting with an 8" flex fin positioned 1/3 of the way back in the box, its easy too tweak and fine tune from this fairly neutral positioning.

- As a 2+1 option i have 2 recommended riding options:

1: I call this set up "ultra drive" - It tends too suit faster more down the line style waves and tends too have a little more tube riding capability, this is the same set up i use in my widowmakers (6" center with WM side bites) i suggest moving the center fin upwards in the box (in line with side fins or just behind) for smaller surf (tighter lines), and then shifting the fin backwards in bigger surf (longer lines).

2: i call this set up "swoopy" - this is more the everyday set up i ride in the VBM, it consists of a 7 or 8" flex fin too be paired with either the WM side bites or if you like a little extra zing some bonzer side fins.. this is my personal favourite for the T3.
