TWIN PIN
- "SWOOOOPY" -
Like everyone else, i too watched the clips of Torren Martyn riding big cloudbreak on a longer twin fin and got inspired.. firstly too go too cloudbreak and secondly too make myself something similar.. At the time i was really enjoying fishes and a big twin seemed like a lot of fun too evolve that feeling with, 3 years on and many generations of twin pin later and i've made a very refined excitingly fast, fluid channel bottom twin fin design. It trims well from the middle and turns hard off the tail: the genesis of the twin pin comes from a variation of my VBM outline with a more pulled-in nose and tail, a the bottom shape consists of slight vee in the nose transitioning into a single concave and a light (not as deep as you would think) 4 pack of channels through the tail which translates into A LOT OF FUN.
Sizing wise, i make the twin pin from 6'0 up too 8'8 - smaller lengths have a more pocket rocket feel (great tube riders), mid size is my favourite whereas longer lengths tend too have more glide.
